Distributor was created for a simple reason. I simply wanted an easier way to see exactly where my money should go. Why I made the app: Before this app existed, I had a small budgeting program I coded inside Obsidian to help me figure out exactly where my paycheck should go. It wasn't perfect, and it definitely had its bugs, but it helped me clearly visualize how much money should go toward tithes, savings, spending, investments, and goals instead of just guessing. As I used it more, my girlfriend told me she wanted something like it. Then the more I talked about the idea, my sister, her friend, and other people said the same thing. That's when Distributor became a passion project. I wanted to create the app I always wish I had. Something simple, clean, highly customizable, and genuinely useful for organizing income without feeling overwhelming or complicated. Every dollar has a job.
